After a merger agreement is signed, any merger implementation team should aim at getting the value out of the deal as soon as possible. In most cases, it is best to quickly organize a merger value realization program. The program should establish and operate a merger integration office (MIO) that represents the “Inside” interests of both organizations. The MIO will serve as a singular point of coordination and integration for process improvement, project management and organizational change adoption maximum value realization.
